This cozy restaurant is decent. I ordered a kids ramen and 2 regular ramen bowls. The portion is just right. My little one liked the food and ate a lot of it. I thought the salad was a little questionable - just shredded lettuce with dressing -almost like a afterthought. I thought the food was good for the most part. The egg was super salty though. I couldn't finish it sadly. Service was okay.

The food was served very quickly, we ordered the tan tan ramen and tonkotsu miso ramen along with takoyaki as an appetizer. All items were very delicious and our waitress that served us was a pleasure.

When I had arrived in Seattle 2 hours later due to flight delays, my friend has asked me if I had eaten on the plane or not. Although I didn't eat any of the food that was served on my Hawaiian Airlines flight, I wasn't expecting my friend to take me to a restaurant that evening for a late night meal, as I normally wouldn't eat a heavy meal late into the evening. We originally tried to go to a Vietnamese restaurant for some pho, but when we got there, the restaurant was gonna close within half an hour or so, so the Vietnamese restaurant was only doing "take-out". Onward to a plan "B", as we really wanted to dine inside of a restaurant and that's how we ended up at Tokyo-ya Ramen & Izakaya. I will have to admit, I'm not the biggest fan of ramen, but the nice thing about coming to Tokyo-Ya Ramen & Izakaya is that they do serve salads, rice plates, & Japanese curry plates. After looking over the menu, I ended up getting the chicken katsu curry plate, and my friend ended up with a ramen dish. What can I say about the grub? My Chicken Katsu Curry plate was good, and I was so surprised at the generous amount of beef that they served with the curry. The chicken was deep fried to perfection, no complaints here, that's for sure. Service here was on point, and I appreciate the restaurant staff for accommodating us even if we walked into the restaurant late (near closing time). Just for that, easy 5 stars!!! MAHALO Tokyo-Ya Ramen & Izakaya.

Narrow restaurant nestled between an 85 bakery and Chinese restaurant. Warm inviting atmosphere. 2-4 tops line one wall and can be pushed together for larger groups. Greeted and sat promptly. Waitress was friendly and efficient. Ramen came quickly at the same time as appetizers. Ramen is full of flavor and hearty.

The food here is always spot on. The soup is piping hot just like it should be. And... our waitress was so kind to hold the soups till we finished our appitizer ( edemame). Nice!! I always choose #4 medium and it's my favorite. Hubby has #2 then we doctor it up a bit with oils and seasoning on the table. It's Sunday eve 5 ish and this place filled up right after we came in. Nice and cozy in the back. Till next time. Awesome job yall!!

We'd been looking for a great ramen place south of Seattle so we were very happy that we found this one! The ramen was hearty and spicy, just how we like it! We both had the Tan Tan ramen which we would 100% order again. Prices were very reasonable too which is nice as I feel some other ramen places can be overpriced. Looking forward to coming back and getting more ramen in the future.
